ACCOMPLISHMENTS 
  • Opened and grew a second office in Philadelphia with only 4 FTEs to become a fully independent office (separate P&L) with 78 employees in just over three years; Our win rate remained above 70%
  • Led the marketing support for over 25 product-launches including highly specialized oncology and HIV therapeutics, devices, diagnostic assays and supportive care products
  • Experience promoting over 50 brands to consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, payers and advocacy groups (see below for details) 
  • Branded and led the launch of several new corporate entities including Gilead Hepatic Health; North American Scientific (NOMOS); Discovery Labs; BMS Medical Imaging; Merck Ophthalmics; Teva Biosimilars; and Legend Biotech
  • For 14 years, was part of the leadership team that drove new business and won accounts growing NAVICOR from 13 to over 150 employees. Various industry-recognitions including “great employer”, several “agency of the year” and numerous “best marketing” campaigns amongst others.

  • Responsible for the establishment and growth of an independently operating full-service office in Philadelphia. 
  • Started the office with one existing account and four employees; in four years grew to 12 accounts, seven key clients and currently staffed with 78 FTEs. 
  • Split my time between new business, staff modeling and client relations—building brand plans, moderating strategic workshops, drafting positioning statements and critical success factors.

  • Delivered effective promotional materials, including print, interactive, and video production. Clients include Gilead, Genentech, Biogen Idec, MedImmune, Merck, and Roche. 
  • Primarily responsible for client workshops, particularly brainstorming sessions and large presentations.

VP, CREATIVE DIRECTOR (2001-2005)
  • Drove all creative output, supervised production, and directed the work of 4 art directors, 4 graphic designers, and, in most cases, 6 copywriters specializing in personal and non-personal promotion of pharmaceuticals. 
  • Clients include Becton Dickinson, Bristol-Myers Squibb, BMS Medical Imaging, Discover Labs, and Merck.
  • Managed client proposals, contracts, and annual expense budgets, ranging from $1–3.25M per account.

SENIOR ART DIRECTOR (1997-2001)
  • Lead new business pitches. Served on Business Management Committee, we often brainstormed and implemented new ways to improve the agency profitability and services. 
  • Provided the artistic direction, supervising several designers, for the launch of various products including Berlex’s MIRENA and CLIMARA-PRO and Merck’s COSOPT. 
  • Developed brand identities and the collateral for complete B2B drug sales campaigns. Managed all output of Centric Medical Communications division, producing medical education materials for clients including Astra Zeneca, Berlex and BMS Medical Imaging. 
  • Performed high-end digital imaging and retouching work of complex medical drawings and photos.
